FAQS
The Answers You Need
CAN I FLOAT IF I AM PREGNANT?
Yes! Pregnant women actually receive the most relief from floating compared to other people!
WHAT DO I WEAR TO FLOAT?
You can go completely nude since you are in a private space. However, if you prefer to wear a bathing suit that is also fine, just consider it may interfere with the sensory deprivation experience and may become a distraction.
WHAT IF I AM CLAUSTROPHOBIC OR AFRAID OF THE TANK?
No worries! The tank is 4 feet wide and 7.5 feet long which leaves you plenty of room and you may also float with the tank door open if that makes you more comfortable. We can assure you that once you’re in the tank and settled these fears will slip away.
HOW IS THE TANK CLEANED AND DISINFECTED?
Because of the high concentration of salt, it is very hard for any bacteria to survive. Even with that being said, the tank filters the water three times through a three-part filtration and sterilization system before each float.
WILL I DROWN IF I FALL ASLEEP IN THE TANK?
Drowning in this concentration of salt is almost impossible because the density of salt creates a buoyancy that will keep you above water. In fact, many people use floating therapy to get quality sleep. It is said that one hour of sleeping in the float tank is equivalent to four hours of your regular sleep.
WHAT IF I ROLL OVER IN MY SLEEP?
The chance of you rolling over is very rare since it takes a conscious effort to do so but if it were to happen you would be woken up due to the salt water getting in your eyes.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY SESSION IS DONE?
The water will start to circulate due to the filters being turned on and there is also an intercom that could be used if necessary.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FLOAT?
It is best to float 2-3 times your first month to experience all the benefits and then 1-2 times a month from there.
